and what a huge change it is from India! i totally appreciated everything about India, but i am glad to be in a city where i don't have to fight with the store owners and can breathe the air without choking. :)
we got in around 7 this morning and spent 6 hours by the pool. i've never been so relaxed in my life- i took about 3 naps today. of course now i have major sunburn to add to my sexy henna legs. i'll have all the boys come a running now. i'm wearing shorts tomorrow, i don't care, i'll never see these people again.
Singapore is one expensive city! we went to a 5 star hotel (Raffles) to check it out and get some drinks- drinks that cost $20. it's funny how we went from one extreme to another. thi
s city is really clean and i totally appreciate it, but it's a big mall so not very exciting. i am looking forward to going to Bintan tomorrow. we're taking a ferry at 9, then it's a 40 min ride to Indonesia. i see beaches and maybe some markets, so we'll see. then it's back to the US! i do have to say i am looking forward to coming home- 3 weeks is a sufficient amount of time to be away and relax.
