Goodbye kite runners 1/16

We walked around the fort this am in Bikaner. Andy's getting pretty sassy w people. Good thing locals don't get sarcasm. If one more person asks if we want a guide... be afraid. The fort/palace was cool. Lots of stonework on screens and doorways and painted ceilings and swords. Same same but different.

Bikaner is another large city so we booked out of there after the tour. We had to drive through Fatehpur on the way. Sanjay kept telling Andy to get out and take pictures of all the havelis that were run down and had advertisements all over them. Very old, very beautiful he would say. Andy got out but didn't take any pictures because it's all run down.

We made it to Mandawa. It's a very small town w more run down havelis. Our hotel is pretty cool. It's an old havelis that's been restored and we have an old pimp bed.

It's was 4 so we went out for an early dinner. We encounter so many dudes trying to convince Andy we needed a guide for the city. Really? We can walk by old shit ourselves. We headed to another Monica's although it had mixed reviews. The food was amazing for our last supper! Not dry tandoori chicken, yummy whatever else it was I ate w peas. We sat on the rooftop and enjoyed the sun and no one bothering us.

Calls to prayer over the rooftops. Also it's the beginning of festival season so all the kite runners are dancing to loud ass Indian techno that's being blared from the rooftops while they fly their kites. Andy rescued a kite that hit our rooftop to which he got a side head nod as a thanks from the kid.

Back to our hotel early and the music is still blaring. Good times.
Tomorrow is a travel day. We leave for Delhi early and go straight to the airport. Then we fly to Sri Lanka and stay the night before an early flight the next am to the Maldives!! Booyah!!
