  1. 19 Dec Get me a cocktail and on the plane 12/19/14 Beth I have a feeling this post will be kinda bitchy until I get a cocktail in my hand. How is one bitchy just 6 hours before you leave for a trip that's been on your top 10 list?
  2. 20 Dec Getting closer 12/20 Beth Arrived in Panama today. I'm pretty foggy from the Xanax but we still have a long flight ahead of us to Santiago. So far the Spanish is rusty.
  3. 21 Dec Last leg 12/21 Beth Up at 2:50 to catch our 5:30 flight to Punta Arenas. The guys at the hostel decided to change our taxi from 3 to 3:30, I really could have used those extra min.
  4. 26 Dec A gnar day (10 km)12/22 Beth Up at 5:45 to cook some eggs and drink shitty instant coffee for our walk to the bus to TDP at 7.

  7. 26 Dec The hikes just keep getting better (15km today 43 HTD) 12/24 Beth Andy was up at 430, me 6. Andy said he saw the sun rise 5 times due to the way the sun hit the clouds different times. I slep like shit.
  8. 26 Dec Such an amazing hike, until next time TDP (10km today, 41 miles total hike) 12/26 Beth Up at 3:30 because Stanford had to wake the group up. I can't wait to get rid of them. How are people so damn loud camping?

  12. 30 Dec The quest for Piedras Blancas (28km, 40km HTD) 12/29 Beth I'm not sure if it was the quiet from the campground, not having the Stanford crew there, or us just really being tired but we missed the alarm and slept in until 7/8.
  13. 31 Dec Feliz Año Nuevo de Patagonia! 12/31 Beth Up at 6:30 to get our 8:30 bus back to Puerto Natales. It rained last night which is enjoyable in the tent. We ate breakfast which consisted of bread, jam and cereal.
  14. 1 Jan New Years in Punta Arenas 1/1/15 Beth Andy woke me up at 7, so much for the sleeping in we were supposed to do. 3 eggs and about 6 hotdog/sausages later and we were set.
  15. 3 Jan Santiago- end of the line 1/2 Beth Panic! Andy woke me up saying "it's 4"! Oh shit, my alarm was supposed to go off at 3:30. Damn thing. It was 4:15 and I hate rushing to get to the airport.
