So It Begins...

Day 1 of my sabbatical! I've been waiting for this day for the last 7 years.

We ate a wonderful meal last night in preparation for our trip. I'm not sure how much squirrel-shaped fish and other various meats I can eat so I partook in American-style gluttony.

Only had 3 hours of sleep last night. It works out well since I slept for the 2 hour flight to Vancouver and another 18 hour flight is on the way. Andy is already out of control. He's like a kid on Christmas. I can't take him anywhere. Airline agent: where are you going, Andy: China!, me: OK I'll take it from here. Reading this does not do the interaction justice.

I was trying to check my work emails (psycho I know) until I received a gracious email from Verizon telling me I'll be billed a shitload for all the data I'm about to download. That's enough for me to cut the work connection.

The first blog is short since when we land in Bejing it will be the next day. Peace out- see you on China time.
