Travel day with a quick friend visit
Left SFO at 10pm for our first red eye landing at JFK. I've been saying stupid shit all day. This evening I saw 'Kennedy' as the airport to which I then commented 'I wish we weren't landing at Kennedy, it's so far from Trevor.' Andy then assured me Kennedy stood for JFK and I realized I needed to sleep.
Sleep? Never. Not when you're in the flight from hell. From the beginning the devil child behind Andy started shrieking and yelling and crying, then he added the kicking which made it complete. All...fucking... night... long. Then the dude in front of Andy smelled so bad it was hard to stand. The seats were so hard my ass hurt by the 3rd hour in. Finally, it was so hot I was sweating in my summer dress.
We landed at JFK, aka, Kennedy at 6 and headed out to see Trevor on our 8 hr layover. It was raining, we had our flip flops on. Why not wear flip flops in NY in the rain? Because it's nasty that's why. Whatevs. We walked around Brooklyn, saw some gentrification going on and headed to Trevor's house for a short stop then headed to breakfast.
We were so damn tired I almost feel sleep at the table. It was good to see Tre, even if it was for 2 hrs. Took the A line back to the airport, so much faster than the J. A quick martini w chicken wings and we were back in the plane. So far the Aeroflot flight is better than others hinted. Another travel day down, half more to go to Athens!
