Wedding time! 6/14
Up at 9 again after going to bed before 12. Glad I'm getting my R&R. We had omlettes with bread and yogurt and honey for breakfast then most of us headed out to Oia. We waited tat the bus stop for 20 min, each bus comes every 20. It was really hot and around 12 so it was blazin. The bus finally came but it we picked so half of us got on. The dude on the bus us said the next one was coming in 2 min, then he yelled 1 min. Liar. We waited another 20 and luckily I didn't have to shove any old people out of the way to get on. We paid our €1.6 and reached Oia with everyone from the huge cruise ship.
The town is quaint but a little hellish in the heat with all the tourists. We ate a gyro for €2.5 and had a local beer. The gyro was delish but there's something about eating all that food and walking in there hot ass weather. We walked and shopped and bought some jewelry and a bowl set that's hand painted and each element represents something from Santorini. Shari needed to get ready for the wedding so we headed back to the villa and quickly jumped in the pool. Andy tossed Hayden around while I tried to nail him with ball. I'm getting used to this lap of luxury.
About 10 min before the wedding I see Andy walk into the kitchen and Jason and I hear a crash. We looked at each other, that couldn't have been the wedding cup. All of a sudden Andy walks out and runs to get his flip flops so he can run to the store and buy a new one. Gary accidentally dropped it while filling it up. It knew the store wasn't close and the wedding was starting soon. Less than 10 min later Andy runs back down the stairs with a new cup in hand. All I could think was please don't drop it.
The wedding started around 7ish. Dusty walked down the stairs first then Graham as the flower boy carefully laying flowers on each step. Next was Hayden as the ring bearer and finally Shari as the beautiful bride. Gary married them, they said their vows and then the you the Greek flower rings on their heads with a string joining them. After so champagne we followed Dusty and Shari down the alley in the traditional wedding march. Tourists were taking pics as Cassie was pushing them out of the way so she could get her shots in.
After the walk we had amazing delish apps. We had stuffed mushrooms, fried tomatoes, chicken wings, etc. For dinner we had seabass or lamb stuffed eggplant. I wish I would have seen the lamb first because it was so delish. After dinner and lots if wine it was time to start the party and do shots I since we were all crashing. It took a while but the vodka came through and soon everyone was dancing. There was a music war and Jodis smacked Andy and Jason for not putting on ACDC.
The music war because an a issue so we opted to go to the club to dance. The club was full of locals and we had a good time. We got a bottle, some danced while others talked. Andy danced on the strip pole. We had lots if fun and didn't leave until 4am. I haven't done that in a while. We went home and watch the best of Sweet Dee from Its Always Sunny. We went to bed by 5+. A good night was had by all.
