Aquarium, park, then disco!
we were over shopping (and waiting for everyone else to do something) so some of decided to go to the aquarium. it was hilarious- two floors of small aquariums with crap like goldfish. haha i guess you can't expect all of them to be like Monterrey! we took a rickshaw there and the driver dropped us off where his buddy started following us. it was creepy- he tried talking to us and followed us in the aquarium. i think he just wanted to show us around and get paid, but we ended up loosing him. next to the fabulous aquarium was an awesome park with huge trees- it was so cool! there were bamboo trees and the wind was blowing so they were making loud creeking sounds.
after walking around for a bit we ended up having some cocktails at a bar. it's funny how we order drinks- instead of trying to explain what we want them to make us, we just order vodka and the ingredients and make it ourselves.
then we walked some more and ended up going to a disco. there were people paying to get it but we just walked right in like we owned the place. when we got down the stairs the guys pointed us to the right where the club was. andy checked out what was behind door #2 and it was a strip joint. not sure if they were actually strippers, but he said there was definitely some craziness going on- no other females allowed. so the disco we went to seemed shaddy so we said one drink then we'll bail. after a drink we decided to dance and then everyone was out! it was so much fun dancing! the guys don't touch the females so that's nice to finally go out and not get grabbed. i was dancing with this dude like i was in an Indian movie- it was awesome. the music was Indian dance and awesome. we were singing- not that we knew what we were saying- but that's some good stuff! after we danced for a while- it was about 11 and some yelled police! everyone sat down so fast- can they not dance in India? that was weird so we bailed.
going home was interesting. andy made a deal with the richshaw dude to take us home. eventhough we had a card with the apt's addy- the dude was so lost- and no one we asked could help us with directions. we somehow ended up back here- that's when the driver wanted more $$ than andy bargained for and all hell broke loose. the dude from the apts came out and helped us. seriously $0.2 isn't a big deal, but i guess it's all principal. then we had some more cocktails on top of our roof. the weather is so perfect here! the wind was blowing and it was so peaceful- it's amazing. i love India!
