Whats been going on the past couple days
i've been totally slackin on posting so i'll try to make up for it today- but all the days are blurring together. the other day we met one of the Dr's friends, Mani Nagasubramanian- he was awesome! He took fashion merchandising in SD and he's back in India doing architechture and art. His work is really amazing. He did these pieces with a method called forage? (elizabeth help me out here- it's the opposite of a collage). he draws all these lines on paper then scrapes them off. anyways- he's so much fun. we got in his car and he was playing soundtracks to movies like Dirty Dancing and Flashdance, hehe. we had an amazing dinner at one of India's 4 start hotels- seems like all the white people in India are there as well.
Yesterday we went to another company called Featherlite- it's like Ikea. the guy was funny how he has so much money then trys to tell us how they furnished the schools down the road. we stopped to check them out and there wasn't too much there as far as furnishings. then we just came home had some drinks made out of the lemon/oranges and pomegranates we found the other day. we also watch the most horrible movie in the world- Transformers. we got all these movies off this guy down the road. the quality wasn't that bad but the Hangover was actually some crazy Indian movie- suckers! haha
today after class Mani wants to take us shopping for some gold jewelry- i'm not down with the gold but might go just to be treated like a princess for a bit. we made appointments to get massages tomorrow. the lady was like just so you know we do women on women and men on men (because Andy is going with us) i said Andy has no problem with a man rubbing him down with oil. haha
we've been chillin out a lot the last couple of days. we have to go out of town again this weekend. i wish we could make our own travel itineraries!! some of us wanted to got to Mumbai but it's flooded so that's not really an option anymore. once we go out for the evening i'm sure i'll have more interesting posts. i've been laying low on the hard core Indian food- but we'll see how well it mixes with alcohol tonight :) probably not so well. we're used to the noise and crazy traffic now- i don't fear for my life anymore. it's amazing how organized chaos works. how many freakin people like in Bangalore and we've only seen one accident- the peeps in the bay area can't drive for shit. we also saw a guys hanging from a swing looking thing off a roof the other day to wash windows- no netting or anything. why do we so many safety checks and then we still end up injurying and suing all the time in the US?
BTW- i keep getting emails from Mark about getting another dog- does he have it in our place now? will someone please go regulate for me while i'm gone? i can't leave the freakin country for 3 weeks and i end up with more animals...
