Island exploring with blowholes 1/1
We woke up at nine this morning after the long night. I surprisingly didn't feel like death since we finished the bottle of vodka. We took our time, got some breakfast, bought new flights back to Cartagena for the following night (4 days is long enough to stay on an island), and then headed out for the town. We rented a fast golf cart to tour the island. We started w the east side which has more natives than the main town. Everything was closed because it's Sunday (not New Years). Even markets and restaurants are closed. We found a restaurant open on the side of the road. We got two fish empanadas, cervezas, and shared the fried fish. The dude forgot to bring us our fish. Why does this keep happening here? It wasn't as good as our hotel's fish, kinda dry.
We continued down the island and stopped at the large blowhole. It was impressive. The wind blew so hard and now and then the ocean water would shoot up really high. We got suckered for the Morgan Cave. We thought it would be a legit cave. It was nothing more than a replication of some rocks from when a pirate keep his booty here back in the day. Suckers.
We had a good time driving around, Andy taking pictures of people (I won't do it), and chicken fighting arenas (yes they really do that here). Some ice cream and we were back at the hotel for a quick dip in the pool. Dinner of more fish and chicken w pineapple juice. Tomorrow's our last day here and the vaca is wrapping up
