Wedding day! 4/23

I had an amazing sleep last night. Passed out at 9 from a sun-filled day on the boat and woke up fresh.
We caught the tail end of the sunrise. Rachel (bride) was writing in her journal on the beach. I went for a short kayak excursion to get a better view of the sunrise on the island. Yoga started at 730, we were there before 7 and the yoga instructor showed up. Since it was just he two of us, he asked if I wanted to play. Sure! He's a little guy and we did yoga poses together. It's actually a lot of fun. We did the airplane move, back arch while I grabbed my ankles, my feet over my head while I'm still in the air, and stuff like that. Now I need to get Andy to do this.

The day was pretty relaxed. Andy jumped on a scooter to get some Thai sauce. I got a massage on the beach. I was a little concerned since a girl who had a massage in Thailand had her ankle torn my her masseuse. Not a problem this time, it was even too light for my liking but very relaxing. During my massage I heard the others having a floaty boat race w/ the wind guiding them. Then they played human Hungry Hippos in the pool. The objective was to get as many floats as possible, by having a person swim and grab, the other person pulled them in. Oh the things you come up w/ in your free time.

The wedding cocktails started at 330. It was soo hot. We saw dark clouds in the distance. Uh oh, it hasn't rained much since we've been here, hopefully now's not the time. We drank our various sweet liquor drinks and sat in someone's room to take in the air con. All the dudes were soaked in their shirts, the ladies holding their looks together.

We sat on the beach for the wedding after 4. The dark clouds rolled in which gave a nice breeze, but no rain! Mike and Rachel exchanged vows, poured sand, broke the glasses w/ a Mazel Tov! The setting was beautiful! Birds of paradise everywhere, orchids, we even threw orchids as confetti when they walked down the isle. Then more drinks around the pool w/ food. Tuna, chicken, soup, it was all amazing. Then it was time for dinner! We had the most amazing fried rice (it had ginger and other goodness) and fried fish. The food was fantastic and I ate so much I didn't go up to the food station for other goodies.

Then the dancing started and it went on for hours. They had a DJ, but there was also a sax player and a bongo guy who rocked it! It was so fun! Actually I had too much fun jumping around because then all the delicious dinner came up. No worries, I was discreet and in the back where no one saw- except maybe the servers. I think it saved me because then I drank water. Was danced and danced- then it was pool time! I was the first one in, but figured it was OK because the wedding coordinator said so. I'm not trying to win the sasquatch award. They were making bets on who it would be. Basically it's the person who comes from out of nowhere and destroys everything, usually the most quiet person who finally lets loose. Well, no one won the prize, but some came close. Many others then got into the pool and fun was had by all. We crashed at 130. Such an amazing day.
