Day one is almost over Beth we had an amazing lunch with the Dr. from the school who has been helping us the whole time. Indian food is so good! now i just have to get mark to like it... -
It's so not hot in India! Beth everyone can suck it! haha i'm so surprised how NOT hot it is- I almost need a jacket. the first half day here has been interesting. -
Day two and first day of class Beth we had our first class today. the campus is brand new and beautiful. it's so interesting to see so much poverty then a huge new campus. -
Day three Beth we went to Caterpillar today. they made us fill out a questionnaire to make sure we didn't have swine flu and take our temperature- again! -
Day 4- two lectures/Palace Hotel/NASA bar Beth so we had two lectures- the first guy was engaging, but the second dude was nuts! he keep saying "do you understand? yes or no" after EACH sentence. -
First weekend trip to Mysore Beth just got back from Mysore today and the ride back wasn't pleasant. my stomach finally couldn't handle something and things have been rough since friday. - Trip to Narayana Hrudayalaya Institute of Cardiac Sciences Beth Today we felt some serious heartache. we took a tour of a new hospital here in Bangalore that treats people for heart surgeries. about 1/3 of the patients each week are children.

Whats been going on the past couple days Beth i've been totally slackin on posting so i'll try to make up for it today- but all the days are blurring together. -
Aquarium, park, then disco! Beth we were over shopping (and waiting for everyone else to do something) so some of decided to go to the aquarium. -
Friday- 5 hour spa day Beth spa day only cost me $100 including tip! i got a stone massage for an hour, facial for an hour, pedi and salt scrub! love it here :) not much else happened today. -
Weekend trip to Belur Beth this trip was so much better than last weekend- probably since we weren't rushing around to get everywhere. - We went to the Hard Rock Cafe Beth and i had the most delicious hamburger in my life! yes, all of you can talk all the shit you want, but i deserved that hamburger.

Got a sari today Beth and no D i didn't see the eclipse :( it didn't show until 530 am and this was the one night i didn't stay up that late. oh well, i'll hit it up next time. -
Segregation at the pool Beth that's right, but it's not by race but sex. we went to a local pool to swim and women were only allowed to swim from 3-4! wtf? i've been really surprised at the sexism here. -
Last day of classes and Target visit Beth I am happy classes are over, but that now means i'll have to leave soon :( we went to Target today. it was finally a good company visit. -
A fabulous end to the India trip Beth we had an amazing time today that we didn't expect. we didn't get our sarees until 5 and we had to be at the hotel at 7- it takes an hour to get there. -
So everyone remembers the important things in life Beth we all need to wear an eye patch sometime in our lives (but don't forget it causes you to lose your depth perception). it doesn't hurt to do something absolutely outrageous. -
I'm not drinking for a while Beth i totally deserve it, but it sux really bad. last night Megha bought some henna paste in a tube and by mistake gave it to me when she was done. -
now Indonesia Beth and what a huge change it is from India! i totally appreciated everything about India, but i am glad to be in a city where i don't have to fight with the store owners and can… -
Bintan Indonesia Beth yesterday we made it to the 3rd and final country- Indonesia. jenna and i got up early to take the ferry 45 min to Bintan. -
The last blog Beth this trip was truly amazing. i met some of the most awesome fun people- and i never expected it. i feel like the 3 girls i met i've been friends with my whole life.
